Habitat sénior : Prendre sa retraite à Maurice
Lorsqu’arrive la retraite, beaucoup veulent quitter la France pour aller vivre sous de nouveaux cieux. Au-delà de simples vacances, les retraités envisagent de s’installer sous les tropiques. Depuis quelques années maintenant, l’île Maurice est devenue la destination la plus prisée par les Français à la retraite. Et cela n’a rien d’étonnant, il suffit de voir cet endroit paradisiaque pour être convaincu. Offrant de multiples avantages, c’est un lieu qui procure une tout autre condition de vie. Que ce soit au niveau fiscal ou sanitaire ou de tout autre aspect de la vie, l’attrait pour l’île Maurice est justifié.
Une fiscalité avantageuse
À travers sa politique, le gouvernement mauricien a mis un point d’honneur à attirer les investissements étrangers. C’est pourquoi il a établi un environnement favorable à ces investissements étrangers en réduisant ou supprimant certains impôts. Dans ce système fiscal, les résidents, c’est-à-dire ceux qui séjournent sur l’île pendant au moins 180 jours cumulés par an, bénéficient d’une imposition plus intéressante qu’en France. L’impôt sur le revenu et les sociétés se fait par tranche unique de 15 % et il n’existe pas d’impôts sur les dividendes. Mais ce qui fait véritablement son atout, c’est l’absence d’imposition sur la fortune et l’absence de droit de succession. Par rapport à la France, les retraités peuvent bénéficier d’un excellent niveau de vie à l’île Maurice. Par ailleurs, il est tout à fait possible de percevoir sa retraite sur l’île Maurice.
Des conditions de vie agréables
Si passer quelques jours sous le soleil dans un cadre paradisiaque a été pour vous une merveilleuse expérience, alors imaginez si vous deviez vivre dans cet endroit toute ou une partie de l’année. Le climat tropical, les plages de sable blanc, la mer, autant de raisons de venir s’installer à Maurice. L’île est dotée d’un excellent réseau de télécommunication, de bons restaurants et de grandes surfaces. Sur place, vous avez la possibilité de pratiquer de nombreux sports et loisirs.
Particulièrement attractive, l’équivalence de la monnaie locale avec l’euro vous permet d’avoir un excellent pouvoir d’achat. Tout est moins cher, que ce soit la nourriture ou le logement. Pour très peu, vous pouvez louer un joli appartement ou même une maison.
Depuis 2002, les étrangers peuvent devenir propriétaire d’un bien immobilier à l’île Maurice à travers différents régimes. Moyennant un investissement d’un minimum de 500 000$ dans un de ces programmes immobiliers, un permis de Résidence Permanente vous sera accordé pour vous et votre conjoint et vos enfants jusqu’à l’âge de 24 ans. L’acquisition d’un appartement dans une résidence R+2 d’un minimum de 6 millions de roupies mauriciennes est aussi possible mais ne vous accordera pas de permis de résidence, si ce n’est le droit de séjourner dans l’île 6 mois par an.
Un fort potentiel économique
Depuis son indépendance en 1968, l’île Maurice affiche une stabilité politique remarquable qui est d’autant plus un critère d’attractivité. En effet, cela est en partie à l’origine de son développement. Elle affiche un développement économique soutenu et fait partie des économies émergentes de l’Afrique. Au cœur de ce développement se trouvent les secteurs locaux ainsi que les investissements étrangers. L’île connaît une forte industrialisation avec l’arrivée des grands groupes industriels et des technologies de l’information. Les secteurs de l’hôtellerie et du textile y sont parfaitement développés. Le marché immobilier est lui en plein essor et progresse à un taux d’environ 3,5% par an.
Une bonne offre santé
Avec son développement économique est arrivée la modernisation des infrastructures, surtout en matière sanitaire. Il existe maintenant deux cliniques généralistes et une clinique dentaire. Elle abrite également de nombreux médecins expatriés et locaux expérimentés. La proximité avec l’Ile de la Réunion permet une évacuation rapide lorsque cela devient nécessaire. En effet, La Réunion bénéficie d’un service sanitaire identique à ce que l’on retrouve en France.
